Markets are supposed to be heartless, but in the last weeks of Steve Jobs‘s life, the stock market did him a small kindness, making the company he founded, briefly, the world’s largest in terms of its market capitalization. At $354 billion, it remains the biggest technology firm by a wide margin.

There are, for starters, the superficial comparisons. Both men dropped out of college (Jobs from Reed, Zuckerberg from Harvard) and founded their empires at an early age, though that’s almost more the norm than the exception for computer whizzes. Both rose to become cultish figures who commanded the world’s attention with annual razzle-dazzle shows, though Facebook’s F8 always seemed self-consciously modeled on Apple’s MacWorld, and Zuckerberg is miles behind in the showmanship department.That won’t be the case much longer if you believe Scott Galloway, the investor and business school professor, who this week predicted that Facebook will surpass Apple (and ExxonMobil) in size within two years. In a way, though, that would also be fitting. As an entrepreneur, Jobs was surely sui generis, but if there’s someone out there who deserves to be compared to him, it’s Facebook’s creator, Mark Zuckerberg.

There are superficial differences, too. Jobs ticked off publishers with his parsimony toward his customers’ personal data. Zuckerberg is perhaps the leading force chipping away at consumers’ expectations of digital privacy. Jobs’s most salient quality was his perfectionism, which makes sense if you’re a hardware maker who in a given year only gets a couple bites at the apple (no pun intended). Zuckerberg can afford to be more casual about iterating; his focus is on dominance. Whereas Apple for most of its lifespan has been an upstart, a connoisseur’s alternative, Facebook almost from Day 1 has envisioned itself as ubiquitous — a dream now amazingly close to reality.

The real similarity is deeper than any of this.

Where Zuckerberg most resembles Jobs is in the strength of conviction he places in his vision. In a world where consumers have ever more choice and an ever louder voice. Jobs always knew that customers who thought they wanted lots of buttons and a removable battery would be seduced by the simplicity and beauty of his devices. You saw that confidence as recently as this week, when Apple held its fire and rolled out the iPhone 4GS rather than rush out a 5G version, as everyone was expecting.

Likewise, Zuckerberg has managed to court the masses without ever submitting to the so-called wisdom of the crowd. He’s never wavered in his belief that he’s doing users a service, not an injury, by pushing them to weave the social graph ever deeper into their lives. The yelps we’re hearing now over “passive sharing” will fade into the background hum, like all the protests that came before. Facebook will continue to evolve, not in response to what its users want, but in accordance with what Zuckerberg knows they’ll end up thanking him for.

As companies, Facebook and Apple may not see eye to eye. But their founders are kindred spirits.

The episode which the entire nation witnessed. A simple guy from Champaran, Bihar sat on the Hot seat with The Bollywood Legend, Mr. Amitabh Bachchan. A simple game of Question-Answer transformed into the biggest entertainment shows. The show, smartly changing lives of many through out India in more than financial manner. For some, it changed the situations of their families, for some, it was sheer pleasure to be in front of their Idol and getting a chance to meet him personally. The show that actually made the nation sit in front of television for that one hour.

History being written as the nervous Sushil Kumar answers the question that fetched him Rs 50000000.
A computer operator whose monthly salary was Rs 6000. He played the game beautifully. Answers were reasoned. I don't know if yesterday's result was deliberately scripted or it was real smartness of Sushil Kumar. I just know that it was a moment of Joy & Excitement. Sushil Kumar and his family were lucky to share the life changing moment with the Legend himself.

Since childhood, I am being taught, "Be an Opportunist". In my mind I always wondered what exactly and Opportunist does. KBC answered my doubts.

The simplest and the most affected LOGO I found to be on a spree on the web, designed by a 19 year old designer, Mak Long. He created this logo when Steve Jobs resigned as the CEO of Apple back in August, as a gesture of Respect. The beautifully designed logo came to notice when, Mak Long re-tweeted as a small tribute to Steve Jobs. The logo then caught the eye of the web.

The LOGO has been titled "Thanks Steve" by the designer & very beautifully tagged as, "Apple is now missing a piece."

A person can be called Hot only if he/she has a great body which shows their muscles or curves respectively? Is it all about the hard work you put in a day n all the sweat you collect in your gym wear ? Does hotness really mean exposing most of your skin ? Is it the about your attire ?

My opinion,

Hotness definitely does require a good toned body which would show your curves or muscles . Hotness is not about exposing most of the skin nor is it exactly about your attire. Personally, I have always felt , Hotness does not really mean the clothes you put on. Your attire can only make you feel, “Yes ! I’m HOT”.

Hotness is all about your Attitude, the way you Communicate, the Language, how you carry yourself. Hotness is all about your Personality.

A mini-skirt & a tight Tee would surely be categorized as a Hot attire, but only if a girl can comfortably carry herself. If not, this hot attire would be termed ‘Slutty’ ! On the other hand, the same girl could look hot in a ‘Sarree ‘ or ‘Salwar-Kameez’ !

Hotness does imply the sense of wearing according to the occasion be it a wedding or a party or a normal gathering or even a movie with your friends !

You can always look HOT ! All you got to do is, change the way you see and feel things.

Why is it that people say Love happens only once in a life time ?

If this is the scenario, then make me understand why everyone falls in love again after a Break Up ? I do agree when we say, First love can never be forgotten.

Every time one break’s up, he/she gets depressed for a while, which depends on how deeply the couple was attached together. The routine changes. Depressive and Negative thoughts capture our mind, sleepless nights, crying all the time and what not.

Time passes when he/she finds that one person with whom they feel they are connected too. A normal conversation initiates which leads to understanding between them. Comfort Zone is more now, time is right, everything seems to be working out real good & one thought passed our minds, Should I get in a realtionship ? Bang !

You are in a Relationship again, Committed again. After the break up, thinking about a new relationship is NOT wrong, it’s practical and real. Entering in a new relation is never worng. It’s just a common mind set of the society which is impractical & unreal in the world now. The relationship is good until Love is their. Commitment again is wrong if one is using the other person only for his/her selfish motive.

True friends and people close to the couple knows the real thing. Need not to be justified or discussed with the world, hardly matters. Phrasing it better, Hardly the couple should care about what the society would manipulate and what how much that manipulated thoughts would be gossiped about. Just give them one thing …. “I Don’t Care” thing and everything would just calm down.

A relationship is hampered only when one concludes what they hear about themselves from either the Society or So Called Buddies. Everyone in life has to move on at a point. The best part one can do when they hear such things, just listen and don’t think about all this bullshit. Let it go !

There’s this process in everyone’s life. A process where in one person is known by the other person’s name in a small patch of time.

Strangers – Acquaintances – Friends – Close Friends – Best Friends – Special Friend – Relationship !

A few people see this everytime in their lives, like this is a looped process in their lives, for some it’s like it’s on n on n on untill he/she finds the correct person & for the luckiest people in the world, this is a One time process. I have met and known people who are engaged or married to their school time sweet heart’s. This is one “Awww” thing.

All one should do in a relation is, rather then finding the perfect one for you, make the relationship perfect for both. Nurture the relation, love to live happily ever after.

I have a doubt hea if any one can solve it, with a good reason …

Today was Raksha Bandhan. The bond between brother and sister. 'Raksha' means 'to protect' & 'Bandhan' meaning 'bond'. A beautiful festival where in the sister shall tie a ‘Rakhi’ around the right hand wrist of her brother and the brother promises to protect her for life. After the tying of the 'Rakhi' the brother gives a gift to the sister as a token of love.

Festive moments are always cherished in all homes. Traditions, culture, rituals & custom, society & morals play an important role in our beliefs.

The best part of festivals is when relatives & loved ones, specially those who we haven't been in touch with, laugh together. The environment around us fills up with excitement, fun, laughter, joy, happiness. Every bit of sadness, sorrow is forgotten. The talks about what's on n what's not take charge. Females discussing about their TV serials(usually, haha), kitty parties & the usual gossiping is always the desert of the talk, males discussing the business, politics etc, kids debating on the things they love. Every person involved in that get-to-gather is so involved into each other, sharing the best of their knowledge and knowings.

Raksha Bandhan is a very special day in my life. Small rituals involved in the process are those small-small moments which every brother-sister eagerly wait for. The brother waits for the time when his sister would do the 'arti', put the 'tilak' on the forehead & tie the 'rakhi'. Sister waits curiously for her gift. The sweetening of mouth by brother and sister, taking of the 'ashirwad'. It is said that, the brother is to keep the 'rakhi' safe & tied in his right hand till 'Dushera'. A festive where in the protection of sister is guaranteed by a bond, symbolically represented by thread.

Rakhsa Bandhan is not limited to blood relation.

The Youth wing of an International Organization, Rotary Foundation. Rotaract is spread among 179 countries out of which India being one.

Rotaract Club of SAL Institute is an Institute based club established on 13th November, 2009. It's been sponsored by Rotary Club of Kankaria, Ahmedabad. The club started with 19 Charter members. Presently the club has 71 members. In its first year of installment, Rotaract Club of SAL Institutes have achieved great heights in every aspect of the society, receiving some good reviews and a few suggestions.

The first year saw some great projects and good support of the members. Projects covering the zone, district, nation & the world were covered in the first year.
Club projects like the Membership Drive which saw the club strength rising from 19 members to 71 members. College projects included the Celebration of Teacher's Day, Cleanliness Drive.
Community projects like Tree Plantation where in the members planted 200 trees, Blood Donation camp where the members collected 100 bottles of blood. A team of members went to Visamo Kids Foundation where we learned many things just by spending 3 hours with kids whose IQ levels were way better then ours. Proud to be associated with Visamo Kids Foundation.
A National Youth Festival, Horizon 10' was the biggest project undertaken by Rotaract Club of SAL Institutes & Rotaract Club of Nirma Institute as joint project.
The members were welcomed at the Zonal meet at Deesa where the club got noticed at the zone level. Members showed up at Udaipur for the Dist. Conference made the club visible at District level & members with full pride represented our country, club & themselves at Aurangabad in an International Meet, Rotasia 2010.

First Year of Rotaract Club of SAL Institutes witnessed ups & downs leading to a wonderful experience of both Social Work & Personal Development.

Today's world fears TRUTH. Gandhiji always said, "I shall die, but not lie" , this words are inspiring and people do relate & agree to it at somepoint of life. A normal human being in today's world is at the stage where he/she is confused, whether he/she should speak the truth or not? The world today is so much FAKE that it's hard to trust even your closed one's. The truth is, one fears speaking the truth coz' if he/she speaks it he/she sees themselves in worse conditions, be it at the personal level or proffesional level.

Lying is not the way out all the time but yes, it works initially, but on a longer run, it fades. On the other end, speaking the truth gets one in a lot of trouble intially, but its states the fact and is understood on a longer run. Agreed, speaking the truth is difficult, but one should always try to speak the truth.

I have lied & faced the consequences and I have said the truth & have seen how beautiful life turns after the counter person understands it.

I urge all those who are reading this to try and speak the TRUTH.

Final day, SHOW TIME for the robotics workshop.

The final practical, the assembly of the cross-connections in the remote, the perfection of the aluminum clamp, the screw through the 6mm holes, connecting motors diagonally, soldering of wires, the rubber chain, connecting the motor-remote-battery, connections had to be damn precise to not to flop the show.

My FIRST ROBOT was finally on its wheel. Project Tank was accomplished. I named it Bumble-B, after my fav. Autobot(Movie: Transformers). It was show time. Bumble-B was all set to roll out.

Waiting can be boring , Waiting can be fun, Waiting can be exciting, Waiting can be anxiety, Waiting can be interesting, Waiting can be dangerous, Waiting can be sweet !

Waiting for 2 hours in the morning made me observe some of the most finest things a naked eye can witness with the first rays dripping on the land, the heat igniting the needed spark, birds chirpping their schedules, sky colourfully smiling at us & finally the breeze making its first touches with the body telling us stay warmly calm.

Mornings are just so beautiful when you feel the nature.

A festive has just come to an end. A day of celebrations when the varied colors unite together to paint the world with happiness, brotherhood and love. Yes, the festival of Colors, Dhuleti is over. One festival when somebody else's hand touches your face or anywhere else on the body with what ever power, the reaction is always sweet. The hand of power is always replied with the sweetness of Smile.

Dhuleti 2010 was the best dhuleti of my life. Have enjoyed the gulal, water, 'kichad', tomatoes, shambhu's cold coco and gum. Celebrated Dhuleti at 4 places namely, St. kabir school, Venus Appts, Darpan 6 rasta, Tushita's place. I missed St. kabir school. Celebrating festival with friends who love enjoying the particular festival and know how to make others enjoy, is the way I'll like to define my group, United Souls.
