Day 2 (i) - Bal Thackeray ©

Bal Thackeray

India looses a veteran marathi politician at age of 86. He started his career as a Cartoonist with 'The Free Press Journal'. His political agenda was to give more importance to Maharastrian's in the state rather than the emerging Gujarati's & South Indian's.

The Founder & Chief of Shiv Sena went into Cardiac Arrest today at approx 3:30pm. The veteran politician has a million followers and is known to be an "Emperor of Hindu Hearts".

The Controversial, Communal, Demagogue & the Only man who could bring Mumbai to a halt. Media fears speaking anything wrong against the chief even after his death. That's what I understand is POWER. The face of Maharashtra politics will change. His extravagant n unconventional style; his love for cigar & pipes still remains a classic. A true lion coz' he always preached what he believed was right & till his last breath he stood by his words & decisions.

Balasaheb Thackeray, Rest In Peace.

Day 2 - Chetan Bhagat

"I see guys spending weeks, months trying to make a girl happy. I see girls waiting endlessly for their guys to call. Is that all your life is about? For your lover to validate you? Or to make a relationship work? Instead, why not focus on yourself - working on your goals, learning something, being a more positive person and helping others. That will boost your self-esteem far more than any lover ever could. Next time that guy or girl treats you badly, say thank you. Say thank you for reminding me that I need to make myself the focus of my life, not you." - Chetan Bhagat

I received this message as a BBM broadcast a few minutes ago. I read this twice to connect it with my mind and to my surprise this is the bitter truth of the present generation. I include myself in this present generation too. Why is it that our lives revolve around attraction, love, relationships & getting noticed in whatever way possible? Life is not about doing work to get noticed. It's always about attaining inner peace, satisfaction and respect.

I have a big social structure, be it family or friends. I have been living around all these things but never realized that all this is sheer waste of time if not balanced. Love & relationships are important too but making it the only importance is wrong. I now understand the practical meaning of these words after connecting it with real life.

I do agree and believe that if we shift our focus to OURSELVES, life will be much more easier, fruitful and happy.
