Every morning I tend to wake up with a smile knowing that I shall live it with that same smile. Today, my daily morning routine was hindered with my happy smile transforming into the sad smile.
Have you ever heard GOD retiring from his work? It would be strange right if GOD retires? How would the world feel without its GOD working? I can exactly give an answer to these questions. The world would feel the same as the game of cricket is going to feel from today. The most watched game on the planet will now only be a game of 50 overs, 8 hours of play a day between two teams.
Yes, Sir Sachin Ramesh Tendulkar announces retirement from the ODI format of Cricket *sigh*
An era is lived with pride, passion, sheer love and respect for the game by the world who have been lucky enough to enjoy the game, just by seeing the little master play. He is the only sportsman who broke every possible record ever to be written in the history of the game and he is the only sportsman to be holding his records securely for next many years to come.
Sachin Tendulkar's ODI Batting Records:
463 Matches, 452 Innings, 18,426 Runs, 200 Highest Score, 44.83 Avg, 86.23 S/R, 49 Hundred's, 96 Fifty's.
The cricketing legend has been serving the Indian National Team since his teenage. When he started his career with the Indian National Team, the world feared him only because he lived a thunderbolt form. I can't even imagine his dedication towards the game; when he claims, "I literally know the pitch of the ball just by looking the bowlers run up." Bloody heck, the amount of experience he has gained over 2 decades has made him the GOD of cricket.
The living legend bids adieu to the ODI format today. A sad day for Cricket. The game shall miss it's class, charisma, art, love & passion. With you retiring from ODI format, my interest level in this respective format has gone down to 50%.
Love to all.
